Three of My Most Loved Items

Cymre recently asked the following question on her blog:

What are the top three items on your main that you just love for sentimental, fun or silly reasons and would hate to lose? Tell us a story, what makes them so special and as always illustrate with screenshots

I would hate to lose any of my items especially my items and trinkets that do transformations. My bags and banks and mail is overflowing with all kind of stuff. I’m sure I don’t really need half of it, but I just can’t seem to throw anything away in case I might just need it for something in the future!

So when Cymre asked the question I knew which 3 items I would hate the most to lose within seconds.

First would be my Formal Dangui!

This dress is just gorgeous. It doesn’t do anything special it’s just really rare. This is like one of the rarest dresses in the game from what I have read. My hubby first told me about it when he was reading some forum where people were talking about how to waste gold in WOW. The dress is sold by Geenia Sunshado in Moonglade. It is rumored that she only sells it every 2 months or so. I don’t know the exactly how often she sells it, but from everything I read it wasn’t very often. So for almost 2 months I stalked Geenia and the auction house. Finally it popped on the auction house and I grabbed it. Moments later the seller whispered me and said congratulations and thank-you. I was like no problem been after this dress for months. I’m sure the fact that he was now 10,000 gold richer made him pretty happy too!

Second would be Haunted Memento.

My husband actually picked up this item for only 500 gold in the auction house. We had heard about it a while before, but didn’t really think we would ever get it because at the time it was no longer available in game. I think it might be again now, but not sure. Wowhead doesn’t say it isn’t available anymore, but it also doesn’t say where you can get it either. Also when I got it and made a post about it last year you could throw it to other players also. That seems to be no longer true. So is it available in game again? I don’t know all I know is I already have mine and I love it!!! All you have to do is have the Haunted Memento sitting in your bag and everywhere you go a ghost will follow you around. If you have a companion pet out though the ghost does disappear. You also get this buff that says, “Something is haunting you.” I always had this in my bags. I would have peeps ask me all the time what the ghost following me was. As of patch 4.3 though I had to take it out of my bags and put in my bank. There was a bug and every time I would go to the barber I couldn’t get my hair done if the Haunted Memento was in my bags. I go to the barber a lot so it was starting to get annoying.

Third would be Zhar’doom, Greatstaff of the Devourer.

This staff is my favorite one in the game!!! It was just made for my little warlock. I mean it has a little fel hunter looking creature on the end of it!
The staff drops from Illidan Stormrage, the final boss in The Black Temple Raid. When I first heard about transmog this was one of the first items I set out to get. It took me, and my wonderful guild, 5 months of running this raid every week till I finally got the staff. The night it finally dropped I was speechless, literally! Our GM asked my hubby if I had passed out because I suddenly got so quiet I absolutely adore this staff and would never want to be without it!
