Where Have All the Pets Gone?

So I have been working on my achievements for pet battles and was heading out to finish Northrend Tamer. I went over to Storm Peaks, because it was the last area I needed. I spent 20 minutes flying around the area and couldn’t find one pet to battle.

So I went to do a little research and found out it had to be snowing to get the Arctic Fox pet. Ok I understand you can only get some pets under certain conditions, but are arctic foxes the only pets in the area! I also read it might be a phasing problem in the area. So I decided to log onto my step-daughter’s DK since she hadn’t quested in the area yet.

About 2 minutes after I logged onto her DK what happens…the Time-Lost Proto Drake alert pops on my screen! I couldn’t believe it. I had just spent 20 minutes running around that place and nothing. I have never seen the drake before. So of course I have no idea how to play a DK so I log out and jump back on my lock. Then the drake was cached on my comp and I couldn’t find him again. I was soo bummed

After that little bit of drama I logged back on the DK and looked for some pets to battle in Storm Peaks. I found absolutely nothing. In the whole area I only even found one stupid little critter and that arctic hare was not marked for battle.

So now I have the DK parked in Storm Peaks and am regularly checking in to see if it’s snowing in the area. I really need it to snow. I need that fox. I need that achievement!
