School of Hard Knocks Achievement
I can not stress enough how much I hate this achievement.
In my opinion it is the worse of any of the WOW World Event achieves.
To receive the School of Hard Knocks Achievement you must take your orphan into the battlegrounds and complete the following:
Capture the flag in Eye of the Storm
Assault a flag in Arathi Basin
Assault a tower in Alterac Valley
Return a fallen flag in Warsong Gulch
These aren’t really that hard except the one where you have to Assault a tower in Alterac Valley. This particular aspect of the achieve is just a pain. There are a ton of people in this particular battleground and a limited number of towers to actually assault.
Three days, that is how long I wasted my time on trying to get this last year. Three whole days of playing WOW and all I did was go into Alterac Valley over and over and over again trying to assault just one tower. I was so ready to quit WOW. I just got so frustrated over this one stupid achieve. I needed it though. I had to have it. I wanted my achieve. I wanted my title.
My hubby got to listen to me for 3 days yelling and screaming about this achieve. On the fourth day I woke up and was like alright another day of frustration. I log into WOW and told my hubby today is the day. He was smirking at me and I was like what? Check your achieves he says. I go and look and there it is already done. He logged onto my account at 6 AM and ran the BG and got it on his first try. I was so excited I didn’t have to run AV again, it is my least favorite of the BG’s anyways. I was a little upset he got it on the first try though after I spent 3 days on it. He is so lucky when it comes to stuff in WOW. He is also the coolest best hubby in all the world!
Battlegrounds during Children’s week is kinda crazy. You have all the PVE players in BG’s out with their orphans trying to get the achieve. Regular PVP players seem to go crazy with all the PVE players in “their” BG’s. I witnessed some very mean spirited people in BG’s last year. I understand PVP players may get a little irritated with all the PVE players in the BG’s just trying to get the achieves. A lot of the time the PVE players usually leave the BG as soon as they get their achieve leaving the group short.
Let’s remember though people to be nice. Both Ally and Horde players are trying for these achieves so you will have PVE players on both sides. The faster the PVE players get their achieves the faster they will be out of the BG’s. So instead of preventing someone from getting the achieve just out of spite help them get it and then you won’t see them in the next BG.
WOW is a GAME!
People play it to relax and have fun. That is the point of a game.
So before you say those not so nice words to someone in a BG this week take a second, a deep breath and remember…what goes around comes around!

My Elegant Dress
I think the Elegant Dress is just gorgeous!
The Elegant Dress can be bought from Noblegarden Vendors or Noblegarden Merchants for 50 Noblegarden Chocolates.
They can also be found in Brightly Colored Eggs.
Finding an Elegant Dress in a Brightly Colored Eggs will get you the Dressed for the Occasion Achievement.
It’s also part of the Blushing Bride Achievement. You don’t have to have the dress, but just need to find someone who is wearing it.
The Elegant Dress is a BOE item and can be worn by a level one. It makes a perfect outfit to really dress up a bank alt. During the week of Noblegarden you can usually get this dress pretty darn cheap. I buy out cheap ones all week long and then sell them at a profit later.
Spring Tuxedo Outfit!
Tuxedo’s are usually worn by men, but I must say I think I look pretty good!
The White Tuxedo Shirt and Black Tuxedo Pants can be bought from Noblegarden Vendors or Noblegarden Merchants. They both cost 25 Noblegarden Chocolates.
They can also be found in Brightly Colored Eggs.
You do need the Spring Tuxedo Outfit to complete the achievement Blushing Bride.
Obtaining these two items from Brightly Colored Eggs is also the achievement Sunday’s Finest.
The White Tuxedo Shirt and Black Tuxedo Pants are BOE so they can be sold. If you don’t care about achievements and don’t feel like hunting eggs, but still want this outfit check your AH. During the week of Noblegarden you can usually buy them for next to nothing!
