Pet Hunting on the Isle of Giants
So the hubby and I had a little time tonight before we did some BG’s with friends and we’re trying to decided how to spend it. We decided to head on over to the Isle of Giants to check out the Dino’s. We killed a couple dino’s then decided to try and farm some pets. For 15 minutes we slaughtered Zandalari Dinomancers on the beach hoping they would drop a pet.
We got pretty lucky
I ended up with a Zandalari Toenibbler (pictured above) and a Zandalari Footslasher (pictured below) to add to my collection. This weekend we plan on doing some more farming to try and get the other 2 for me and whatever extras we get for him.
I have always been fond of the raptor pets and these guys names are the absolute best!
Aqua Strider Companion Pet
I love the look of the Aqua Strider companion pet. I love his glowing blue color and the design on his back!
The pet comes from Hollow Reed which is a rare drop from the Pandarian champion Nalash Verdantis. Nalash can be found in Dread Wastes (approximate coordinates 64,58).

In the picture above the Aqua Strider is under the effects of Papa Hummel’s Old-Fashioned Pet Biscuit. The biscuit doubles a targeted Non-Combat Pet’s size for as long as it remains at its master’s side. The biscuits are a common loot card from the trading cards. You receive a stack of 50 biscuits when you redeem the code and you can stack up to 250 biscuits. Get biscuits for your pets.
Crocolisks in the City
Crocolisks are just adorable…aren’t they!?
There are 4 different crocolisks that can be found in a Bag of Fishing Treasures you get from the Shattrath fishing daily, Crocolisks in the City. It’s random what daily you get so you never know when it will pop. When it does pop there is no guarantee a pet will be in the bag.
The crocs names are Toothy, Chuck, Muckbreath and Snarly. I took pics of each one and I’m pretty sure I matched the names up to the right croc. They all look so similar and are just too cute for words

Pets and Achievements Galore – The Perfect Valentine’s Day!
The hubby and I decided to take a work break today and have some fun playing WOW. I was super excited when I logged onto my account and saw that for Valentine’s Day he got me the Cinder Kitten from the Blizzard Store and 200 Papa Hummel’s Old-Fashioned Pet Biscuits. The kitten is so cute and I have wanted it since it was released and I ran out of biscuits like 2 weeks ago so I am glad I am fully stacked again. My hubby is the best!
Before we started playing I logged onto my alts who have been camping out in Sholazar Basin and The Cape of Stranglethorn to check on my rare spawn pets. I logged into the Cape and it started raining. I got to battle 3 Baby Apes. They were all common, but after almost 2 weeks of camping I’m just ecstatic to get any Baby Ape!
I then logged onto my alt in Sholazar to take a look. I made a pass around The Savage Thicket, but didn’t see any pets. I took one more pass around and there it was…an Emerald Proto-Whelp! I went and captured him and 2 more had spawned. I battled them too, but all three were poor quality. I don’t care though. I got my whelp and am so happy.
My hubby was laughing at me after I captured the second pet. He said I was acting like a kid opening their presents on Christmas morning. Yeah, I may have been a little excited, but after two weeks of camping I had them. I can’t believe they both popped on the same day. Talk about the perfect Valentine’s Day! I now have an alt parked in Felwood camping the Minifernal. I’m still checking on the Scourged Whelping too.
During the day we also managed to kill a lot of Champions in Pandaland. I managed to get some more rare items from them that were on my list so that made me quite happy.
We managed to kill so many rares because we were flying around doing the Riches of Pandaria Achievement. We both managed to finish the achieve, but it took a bit longer than we wanted. We had all the waypoints from Wowhead, but in the end we were missing one item. Took us a while to figure out which one it was, but eventually the achieve was complete. We also started looking for the lost treasures hidden throughout Pandaria. I got the achieve Finders Keepers so I still have quite a few left to find.
I also managed to grab a couple more archaeology achieves and we picked up the achieve Restore Balance. The most fun we had though was completing the achievement I’m In Your Base, Killing Your Dudes. The hubby hadn’t done anything for the Dominance Offensive yet so after a few starter quests we went to kill some Alliance champions. The hubby received a Blood-Soaked Invitation as loot and has decided this is the push he needs to make a non healing spec on his Shaman.
So all in all, this was an EXCELLENT day of playing WOW.
