So the end of last month Navimie posted a blog topic called, Ten Days of Pet Battles. I’ve not had much time to play WOW or blog since then so when I found myself with a couple free hours tonight I thought I finally get to it. I know it’s suppose to be 10 days, but I decided to do 2 post with 5 in each.

Day 1: Your first day pet battling.

Day 2: What pets don’t you like and why?

For battles I’m not a fan on the undead pets. I have only leveled my creepy crate to level 25. I have played with a couple other undead pets, but just don’t like them. I think Blizzard has put WAY too many roach pets in this game. Seriously, does anyone actually like roaches?

Day 3: Who is your favourite pet? If you could bring it out into the real world, tell me what you imagine you would be doing.

The Giraffe is my favorite pet in the game. Ever since Cymre posted that first pic I have been obsessed! He’s just so darn cute. After I get my Red Panda though my Giraffe may have a little competition. Red Pandas have always been one of my favorite animals. When I interned at the local zoo in college I always ate my lunch sitting by the Red Panda exhibit.

My favorite pet for battles though is the Darkmoon Turtle. His headbutt and healing wave is awesome. He is almost always in my team.

If it was possible to have a miniature Giraffe as a pet in RL I would. I treat that precious sweetie just like the rich guy in this commercial!

Day 4: What was the most epic pet battle/capture you ever had?

Wouldn’t really call it epic, but so so frustrating. When I first battled Major Payne I must have tried 10 times and just kept losing. The 3 pets I had at that time just weren’t cutting it. I ended up leveling a couple more pets, Dark Phoenix Hatchling and Clockwork Gnome, and was finally able to beat him. Out of all the Master Pet Trainers I really despised him the most.

Day 5: What pet do you want more than any other pet? What would you do to get it?

I have always thought the Baneling was cool. My friend I BG with all the time has it out often. Every time I see it I fall in love all over again! The pet was a free gift for purchasing Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm Collector’s Edition. I have never played Starcraft so I will probably never get this item.

Also at this point I am pretty sure I would do anything for the Scourged Whelpling and Minfernal to show up just once while I was there. I’m serious Blizzard I WILL DO ANYTHING! I check at least half a dozen times a day and nothing, nothing, nothing!

The Aqua Jewel is one of my favorite items that drop from the Pandarian champions. The item increases swim speed by 50% and allows underwater breathing for 10 minutes. It has a one hour cooldown.

The Aqua Jewel is a rare drop from the Pandarian champion Sahn Tidehunter. Sahn can be found in Vale of Eternal Blossoms (approximate coordinates 62,55).

The coolest thing about this item though is that for 10 minutes you appear to have this blue translucent watery look that you can see right through! A few in my group have this item and we use it all the time especially in PVP when we are trying to hide out.

When you mount up whatever your riding also becomes translucent. So below are a bunch of screenshots of me on different mounts. Can you identify them all?

The hubby got me the War Party Hitching Post a while ago as a gift for some holiday. It is such a fun item!

When you right click on an item you will build a War Party Hitching Post. All members in your party or raid group with at least apprentice riding can use the post to summon a Hitch Horse mount. If you dismount the horse will disappear.

My old guild use to have a lot of fun with this item. I would put it out between RBG’s and before raids to have some fun while we were killing time. My fav memory of this item was when a group of like 9 of us all grabbed a horse and did a parade all around Shattrath City. People were commenting and staring and a few even joined the parade! It was a lot of fun
